You've got life experience and you want to share your triumphs, foibles and wisdom, but where to start? Begin with a five minute story. We'll meet and you'll create a bite size story that you'll be proud to share whether for the Moth or a jumping off point to a memoir. Join a group of people 55 years and older to share your story and support your fellow storytellers.
Teacher: Julie Alexander
Weekly Sept. 20 - Nov. 8, Sundays 10:30a-12pm
Are you curious how the classic plays the 'The Crucible' by Arthur Miller are connected to contemporary hits like Kimberly Belflower's 'John Proctor is the Villain'? This playreading group will meet to read and dig into famous classics and exciting contemporary plays in conversation with them. If you love theater, this is an opportunity to be part of a lively discussion about what makes the classics timeless and inspires today's playwrights to offer audiences challenging new ideas.
There will be an option to see a play or reading currently running in Los Angeles. Includes materials.
